The CSD Brass training band is aimed at beginners of all ages and anyone who isn’tconfident enough to join the senior band. Because of our strong link to Chesterton Community College, the pupils of that school are very well represented in the training band, but our membership comes from across Cambridge and its environs, and we have members of all ages. The training band rehearses in the music block of Chesterton Community College, on Gilbert Road, Cambridge . Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 6:30, until 7:30 when the senior band arrives. Some of the stronger training band members stay to play in both bands. All organisers of the training band are DBS checked. The band’s child protection policy is available to members, and to parents and carers, on request. Parents and carers are encouraged to attend rehearsals with their children if they can.
